A self-described autodidact, Dirk loves solving problems and excels in working with high performance teams of technology startups and scale-ups.

Dirk has more than a decade of experience in change management, finance and business process engineering at both the operational and board levels, as well as more than 5 years of experience in the world of startups and technology, as a founder, country manager, managing director, and consultant to various companies and organizations.

The Managing Director of the Founder Institute’sBerlin office until 2020, Dirk is a key leader in the Berlin and German startup and technology communities, having trained and coached startups across a large spectrum of technologies, business models, strategies, and business structures.

Dirk has experience working in many regions around Europe including Belgium, Spain, and many cities across Germany, including Berlin, which has been his home during the past 6+ years.

Particular specialties of Dirk include business intelligence, strategy consulting, business and financial modeling, project and interim management, matchmaking, and angel investing.
